Nina Ricci -- Avenue Montaigne, Paris

Maria "Nina" Ricci and her son Robert opened their fashion house in Paris in 1932; Nina created the gowns while Robert managed the business.  Soon Nina's designs were coveted for her romantic and feminine style.  In 1948 Robert Ricci created the fragrance L'Air du Temps (Air of Time) and the perfume is still a top seller today (Rene Lalique designed the two-dove crystal bottle).   After Maria Ricci's death in 1970, Robert continued with the company until his death in 1988.

This fashion house, like so many others, has been held in the hands of many designers; Peter Copping, formerly with Louis Vuitton, has directed the design team of Nina Ricci since 2009 and continues to keep the brand elegant, feminine and most of all, current.

My photos were taken this week at the Nina Ricci boutique on Avenue Montaigne in Paris.  The mannequins are on revolving stands and it's divine to see every angle of the turnouts!   Only in Paris.... .
