Two Fabulous Villas in France: St-Jean-Cap-Ferrat & Paris

Any of the small towns in the south of France (St-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, Nice, Eze, Villefranche-sur-Mer, St. Tropez, to name a few) are home to the rich and famous...and no wonder.  My recent visit to that part of the world brought me to St-Jean-Cap-Ferrat and the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild -- an eye-dazzling treat.  Beatrice de Rothschild found the perfect spot for her vast decorative art collection in a pretty pink villa overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.  I hope these photos tempt you to make your own journey one day!

Back in Paris, I snapped a few photos at Ralph Lauren's boutique, which opened last year on Boulevard St. Germain.  It took four years to rennovate this 18th century hotel particulier, boasting men's and women's clothing on four floors.  But who needs to shop?(Just kidding.)   If you can get a reservation (not kidding) why not enjoy a champagne lunch at Ralph's in the courtyard.  The Parrotia perscia tree, imported from Belgium, shades diners from the elements.   What's not to like?
